Sigma Chi Chili Throwdown |
The Theta Chapter of Sigma Chi is proud to announce the Sigma Chi Chili Throwdown. The event, which will take place on April 15th from 11:30-1 on the Bullet Hole Patio will raise funds for the Campus Kitchen at Gettysburg College, an organization sponsored by the Center for Public Service (CPS). The Campus Kitchen works in partnership with Dining Services, community agencies and CPS to meet hunger and nutritional needs in our community. Sigma Chi challenges all members of the College faculty and staff to put their culinary skills to the test in support of the Campus Kitchen. Beginning Monday, March 31, members of the College community can register teams of four for the Chili Throwdown. Each team will work in conjunction with a Sigma Chi Brother to prepare Chili for the April 15th event. The winning team will be awarded the title “Sigma Chi Chili Champion.” For more information contact Chris Storm (storch01) or Geoff Horsfield (horsge01). We look forward to your support!
The registration deadline is Tuesday, April 8.
A registration fee of $20 per team will support the Campus Kitchen as they repackage unserved food into nutritious meals and strengthen relationships in the community.
Each team will prepare one full crock-pot of chili to be sampled by members of the College community. Bowls of chili will be sold for $5 on April 15 from 11:45-1. All proceeds will benefit the Campus Kitchen.
